Children Playing at the Pond

This small scene in the “Grotte de Han” mural shows a young boy and girl playing at the side of the water. The girl has a traditional stick and hoop, while the boy is sailing a toy boat in the rippling green water.

Both are wearing wide-brimmed sun hats trimmed in colorful lace (blue and pink) to match their outfits.
